Duration: 12 months+ contract
Pay Rate: 31.77$/hr. On W2
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, normal business hours
Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to support manufacturing operations in a regulated cGMP environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cell culture, aseptic processing, biologics/viral vector manufacturing, and strong knowledge of GMP documentation and manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing processes on the production floor while following batch records, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety procedures.
- Perform manufacturing activities accurately and strive for right-first-time execution.
- Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT), Facilities & Engineering, and Quality teams.
- Perform weighing of raw materials and electronic inventory transactions using MES and EBS systems.
- Perform cell culture and filling unit operations for viral vector products using proper aseptic technique.
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures in flasks, CellSTACK chambers, and single-use bioreactor systems.
- Assist with cell transfection and viral vector harvest.
- Prepare and operate single-use systems for solution formulation and filter integrity testing.
- Assist with manual and/or automated filling of harvested viral vector material.
- Escalate manufacturing, processing, equipment, or quality issues as appropriate.
- Assist with revisions to SOPs, Manufacturing Production Records (MPRs), and other controlled documents.
- Review in-process cGMP documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
- Work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
- Support a strong safety-first and quality-focused culture.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Background
- Experience working in a GMP/cGMP manufacturing environment, preferably within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or cell therapy/biologics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture.
- Experience with aseptic processing/technique.
- Exposure to viral vector manufacturing, transfection, harvest, or bioreactor operations is highly preferred.
- Experience with single-use manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with batch records, SOPs, GDP, MES, or EBS is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written procedures.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week, including off-shift hours and weekends as required.
