Role Description The Field Engineer II is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This position supports project delivery in the field by assisting with daily coordination of construction activities, tracking progress, and ensuring work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing layout and measurements, documenting field conditions, maintaining logs and reports, and supporting quality control processes. The Field Engineer II collaborates closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design professionals to resolve technical issues, manage RFIs, and support schedule and cost control. The role also involves monitoring compliance with site safety requirements, participating in meetings, and contributing to continuous improvement of project execution.\n

- Strong technical skills in interpreting construction drawings and specifications, performing field layout, and documenting site conditions.
- Experience with construction management tools and software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling software, BIM or project management platforms).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, building systems, and industry standards, including quality control and safety practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, trade partners, and clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced field environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
- Previous field engineering or construction experience on commercial or institutional projects is highly beneficial.
