Position Title: Business Travel Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

The Hollywood Roosevelt is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Transient Sales Manager to join our Sales team. This role is responsible for driving transient business across corporate travel, consortia, and leisure markets while developing strong client relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strategic and relationship-focused sales professional who understands the hospitality industry and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while achieving business goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new corporate, consortia, and leisure business.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients, travel partners, and industry organizations.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals and established sales activity expectations.
  • Prospect for new business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, presentations, site inspections, and networking.
  • Identify key market opportunities and room-night demand generators and develop strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing on sales action plans and annual business strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and changes in supply and demand.
  • Negotiate contracts and business opportunities in a professional and profitable manner.
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings and provide updates on account production, competitive performance, and market activity.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal departments to ensure successful execution of business and an exceptional guest experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of two years of hospitality sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales, corporate travel, consortia, and leisure markets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to prospect for new business and develop strategic sales plans.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and time management.
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities, bids, budgets, and market trends.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience with Delphi, Opera, TravelClick Reporting, Microsoft Office Suite, and property management systems preferred.
