About the Position

DROYO Workforce Group is recruiting an Electrical Apprentice / Site Support team member for a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a reputable contractor that has been in business for 30 years, specializing in high-end custom residential construction and luxury remodels.

You will be hired directly by the contractor and join an established team that values hard work, reliability, respect, and quality craftsmanship.

This hands-on position combines electrical assistance with general construction support. You will work alongside experienced electricians and carpenters, build practical trade skills, and gain experience that supports advancement into electrical or carpentry roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with pulling wire, mounting electrical boxes, running conduit, and preparing materials for rough-in work.
• Keep electrical workspaces organized and materials ready for installation.
• Support experienced carpenters and lead technicians with backing, blocking, measuring, and material staging.
• Organize, care for, and maintain hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing and installation equipment.
• Prepare residential work areas by installing floor protection and dust containment barriers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites through sweeping, cleanup, and debris removal.
• Assist with light trenching, core drilling, unloading, and staging materials for site utilities and infrastructure.
• Occasionally operate a 16-foot dump truck for debris hauling, job site cleanups, and transporting materials or equipment between sites.
• Follow job site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Work respectfully and professionally with supervisors, crew members, and specialty trades.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of electrical support experience.
• Basic trade and electrical hand tools available before the first day on the job site.
• Required personal protective equipment: work boots, safety glasses, hard hat, work gloves, and hearing protection.
• Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience safely operating large vehicles, such as a 16-foot dump truck or box truck.
• Reliable personal transportation to job sites between Los Gatos and Belmont.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and outdoors, and perform physical labor throughout full shifts.
• Strong interest in developing a career in the electrical or carpentry trades.
• Dependability, punctuality, initiative, and a respectful, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in construction, electrical support, landscaping, or heavy labor.
