Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a Day in Precision

At 5:00 AM, you step onto the shop floor in Orange County, CA. Complex 5-axis parts are queued, travelers are ready, and your gauges are calibrated. You move from a first-piece in-process check to a receiving spot check, then wrap the morning validating features against drawings with GD&T callouts. By afternoon, you’re supporting a teammate with a casting visual and logging AS9100-compliant records. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding.

About the Role

  • Employment type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Orange County, CA
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM start; Saturdays required most weeks (6–8 hours)

What You’ll Handle

  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections on machined parts, castings, and forgings produced in a complex 5-axis environment
  • Interpret engineering drawings and validate features per GD&T requirements
  • Operate and maintain precision hand tools: height gauges, calipers, micrometers, drop gauges, and optical measuring devices
  • Support in-process, receiving, and other inspection areas as workload shifts

Your Background

  • 3–5+ years of inspection experience within aerospace or defense machining
  • Advanced drawing interpretation and GD&T fluency
  • Proficient with hand metrology tools; CMM exposure is a plus, not a must
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards and documentation practices
  • Ability and willingness to work required Saturdays

Proficiencies We Value

  • GD&T
  • AS9100 Quality Systems
  • AS9102 (First Article) familiarity
  • Experience with AS9100 environments

Why Join
