The receiving Lead will apply warehouse knowledge related to receiving process, identification of products/individual parts, small parts/receiving count verification, ensures inventory accuracy. Receives parts into inventory in the computer system. Will stock products into physical locations. This is a one-person job function and person must be hands-on and all around to cover all tasks.

There is latex material in our cords and all departments are exposed to this in the handling of all assembly, packaging, shipping and receiving functions, including the smell of latex.


Minimum Requirements:

• English is required.


Hands-on role must be specific to:

1) Receiving experience with a manufacturer.

2) Identifying parts.

3) Receive and into inventory system- small parts.

4) Restocking parts in physical location/on shelves or into bins.


• Basic computer skills and willing to learn inventory software program

• Reports to work on time as scheduled.

• Demonstrates enthusiasm in performing duties and able to interact positively wit everyone.

• Ability to communicate in verbal and written formats in English and be detailed in communication

• Must be able to perform duties by following and respond to verbal and written information.

• Able to count accurately, read and decipher information from reports, forms and computerized inventory system.

• Requires attention to details and verification of own work for accuracy.

• Must be able to audit own work.

• Completes required paper work.

• Must be able to communicate and interact with everyone in a respectful and professional manner.

• Forklift certification required - Must be willing to obtain and maintain current forklift certification.

• Abides by all Safety protocols, company policies and procedures.

• Must be willing to work overtime if required.


Job Duties:

• Uses computer to retrieve information and for updating items being received.

• Uses and reviews the following documents: BOL, Packing Slips and receiving schedule reports.

• Handles all receiving functions. Verifies products being received, communicate stock, location, or order and reports discrepancies to the appropriate manager.

• Inspects incoming products to identify, document and report visible damage or quality concerns and follow established procedures for the acceptance or refusal of products.

• Must be able to write notes and communicate BOL discrepancies to support invoice payments.

• Performs cycle counting and location updates both physically and in the computer system.

• Monitors inventory shortages/back order, movement and reports accordingly.

• Applies knowledge of warehouse tools, equipment, materials and safety procedures to complete daily assignments independently.

• Identifies and resolves common warehouse workflow issues within established guidelines and/or report, seek assistance based on urgency of the matter.

• Maintains work areas and products organized during handling process.

• Operates forklift to move products from one location to the next and to load/unload pallets into trailers.

• Will also operate manual pallet jack.

• Wil be cross-trained on Will-Call procedures to serve as back up for Quick Ship.

• Enters products being received into the inventory system.

• Participates in doing inventory counts.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience:

• High school graduate or GED.

• At least 2 years working experience performing receiving duties.

• Minimum of 1 year performing as a Lead.


Physical Demands

Job is performed in warehouse environment. While performing task, employee will be required to engage in the following physical activities:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Mounts and dismounts forklift and/or reach equipment's.

• Climb a step ladder to retrieve products,

• Stands/walks, lift/pull/push for the majority of the shift schedule.

• Stoop and kneel at various intervals when handling shipments of products.

• Requires finger dexterity to operate the computer keyboard, handle boxes, operate forklift and pallet jack.

• Good vision to read documents, computer and related written documents pertain to products and shipments.
