Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will serve as a patient advocate while ensuring compliance with surgical nursing standards and sterile technique practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments according to facility policy
- Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards during procedures
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures
- Monitor and document patient conditions before, during, and after surgery
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, surgical technologists, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff
- Provide age-specific care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Assess and manage patient pain using appropriate interventions
- Prioritize workload efficiently and adapt to changing assignments in a fast-paced setting
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Allscripts EMR
Requirements:
- RN CA License required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required .
- BLS, ACLS
