Senior Programming Engineer – Building Automation Systems
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $150,000–$170,000+ annually
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
We are seeking an experienced Senior Programming Engineer to join a growing Building Automation and HVAC Controls team in the San Jose area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced controls professional with a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS), commercial HVAC controls, and system programming. Candidates with experience using Automated Logic (ALC), WebCTRL, and EIKON are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Program and configure commercial Building Automation and HVAC control systems
- Develop and modify control logic, sequences, graphics, and programming
- Perform system startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose complex BAS and HVAC system issues
- Review drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation
- Work closely with field technicians, project teams, and customers
- Optimize existing control systems for performance and reliability
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of commercial Building Automation or HVAC controls experience
- Hands-on BAS programming experience
- Automated Logic (ALC product) experience strongly preferred
- WebCTRL and/or EIKON experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and sequences of operation
- Experience with commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to commute to the San Jose, CA office
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
Compensation
Expected base salary is approximately $150,000–$170,000+, depending on experience, technical capabilities, and overall fit.
