JANUS et Cie, a premier luxury outdoor furniture company, is seeking a Production Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for the administrative and safety duties of the Cushion Department. This role supports the manufacturing and administrative processes which result in improved safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. This role is full-time and is based in our Santa Fe Springs, CA facility.
Hourly Rate: $ 23-$25 an hour DOE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and update a spreadsheet tracking the individuals responsible for each task in the manufacturing process, ensuring accurate records for accountability and traceability in the event of warranty claims
- Administer monthly safety audits of Cushion department and report findings to Director and Production Manager
- Coordinate with Inventory and Production departments to determine and manage inventory needs
- Manage supplier relations, research potential vendors, obtain quotes, price negotiations, issue purchase orders
- Maintain appropriate levels of supplies in the breakroom and bathrooms, collect and fulfill requests for office supplies
- Package damaged or defective product for return to vendors and complete any necessary RMA paperwork prior to shipment being picked up
- Ensure adequate storage is in place
- Perform back up duties as required for Production Scheduling and other admin areas
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize actions effectively and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates integrity, flexibility, sound judgment and strong analytical skills
