Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher, supporting learners in English Language Arts and History for a full-time contract position near Berkeley, CA. What we’re looking for:
- Valid, active California mild/moderate special education credential
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred
- Strong understanding of ELA and History content, tailored for diverse learning needs
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Ability to begin as soon as possible and commit through the end of the school year
What you’ll do:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in ELA and History to middle school students
- Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and accommodations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain organized records and communicate student progress regularly
- Foster a positive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion
- Attend related meetings, trainings, and professional development as required

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
