Assembly Operator
Mon-Fri: First Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly operations independently according to Standard Work instructions.
- Use hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments, including calipers, depth gages, thread gages, and pin gages.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure quality and AQL requirements are met.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Participate in Lean initiatives, including 5S, SQDCC, Hour-by-Hour Charts, and Lean Engagement.
- Identify and report material, equipment, or quality issues to the Team Leader and assist with approved corrective actions.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and operational checks.
- Maintain proper scrap and recyclable material disposal.
- Train employees on basic and complex assembly procedures.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs. and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and squatting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English and complete required documentation.
- 1+ year of experience performing complex assembly operations preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment preferred.
