VVD is looking to fill two dispatch positions to help our residential install and drop bury construction team. We are looking for candidates that have strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, has knowledge and experience on how to use Microsoft 365 software (Outlook, Excel, Word and PDF), is able to multi-task and switch between tasks throughout the day. As a dispatcher you will be the link between customers and our field technicians, providing routing and scheduling assistance along with quality assurance and customer service.
Job Title: Residential Telecommunications Service Dispatcher
Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt, in-person at our corporate office
Pay: Hourly, $20.00 - $23.00
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & Routing
- Review daily assigned work orders
- Send notification of any callouts for the day
- Schedule/reschedule work orders as needed
- Maintain an updated routing tracker
- Real-time monitoring by tracking job progress
- Redirecting technicians and reassigning jobs when a delay occurs
- Resolve logistical issues between the customer and field technicians
- Assist with obtaining required COIs and other required documentation
- Assist manager with daily operational tasks
- Provide administrative and logistical support for field operations
- Data Entry
- Quality Assurance
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Have a valid driver's license
- Pass a criminal background screening
- Pass a five-panel drug screening that includes THC, PCP, cocaine, opioids, and amphetamines
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills to handle fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using computer software like Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PDF (email and excel spreadsheet is used daily)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; being comfortable communicating over the phone with technicians and customers
- Customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and efficiently switch between responsibilities
Location and Working Conditions:
- On-site at our corporate office in Garden Grove, CA
- Five days a week, 8-hour shifts, OT when needed
- Schedule includes working weekends as the company is open seven days a week
- Sitting, reading, typing, using a computer, speaking on the phone, texting when needed
