Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring food safety standards, and supporting daily restaurant operations. Experience in food preparation, POS systems, and retail math is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the quick service and food industry.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining high quality and presentation.
Operate POS systems such as Toast for order processing, cashiering, and sales transactions.
Manage food handling responsibilities, including sanitation, proper storage, and adherence to food safety protocols.
Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and maintaining overall sanitation of the restaurant environment.
Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Support kitchen operations by assisting with basic food prep tasks and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math for change calculation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café or restaurant area throughout shifts.

Experience

Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus.
Experience with food preparation, cashiering, or serving roles demonstrates strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is advantageous.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking across various duties.
Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are necessary for accurate transactions. Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
