Import Operator

Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time
Language: Mandarin & English

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of import, freight forwarding, logistics, or related experience; however, we are also open to motivated candidates who do not have direct import experience but are interested in building a career in the import and logistics industry. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bilingual in Mandarin and English required
1+ year of import, freight forwarding, logistics, or related experience preferred
Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in the import/logistics industry are encouraged to apply
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Well-organized, efficient, punctual, and reliable
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Professional and customer-service-oriented approach

General Responsibilities

Perform accurate data entry and maintain shipment records
Follow up with carriers regarding shipment status and provide timely updates
Prepare invoices for freight transportation
Review and verify import and customs documentation
Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance and arrange applicable duties
Arrange trucking and transportation services based on customer requirements
Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, rail companies, CFS facilities, customs brokers, and importers to coordinate shipments
Monitor shipments and help ensure timely delivery
Assist with resolving shipment-related issues and discrepancies
Maintain accurate documentation and records throughout the import process
Provide general administrative and operational support to the import team

We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. While prior import experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong organizational skills, professionalism, communication abilities, and a genuine interest in developing a career in international logistics and importing.

Pay Range: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
