Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Alamitos, CA, responsible for managing escrow files from opening through closing. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing escrow instructions, coordinating document signatures, verifying funding conditions, and ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and compliant. The role involves communicating regularly with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and title companies to provide status updates and resolve issues. The Escrow Officer will balance multiple files, manage timelines, calculate settlement figures, and oversee disbursement of funds and recording of documents. This position also requires maintaining detailed records, adhering to regulatory and company policies, and delivering consistent, professional customer service throughout each transaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing escrow files and procedures, including Escrow and Closings skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to perform and coordinate notarization tasks, including Notary skills and familiarity with related legal requirements.
  • \n

  • Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all parties involved in a transaction.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Residential Real Estate transactions, documents, and timelines.
  • \n

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with escrow and real estate software systems, and basic office technology (email, spreadsheets, document management).
  • \n

  • Understanding of state and local real estate, escrow, and compliance regulations (California experience preferred).
  • \n

  • Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or in a related escrow/real estate closing role is strongly preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to work on-site full time in Los Alamitos, CA and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
