Connect Staffing is hiring a QA Technician for a food production plant in Pomona, CA. This is a temp position paying $20.00/hr. In this role, you will inspect raw, in-process, and finished product, perform pre-op inspections and allergen checks, and collect and document production samples throughout the facility. Overtime is available and expected.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) audits on the production floor and in the warehouse to verify compliance with food safety standards.
- Place non-conforming products on hold and complete all required documentation.
- Collect, process, and document daily retain samples from receiving, roasting, and finished product stages.
- Process and document daily destoner samples and inspection reports.
- Investigate product complaints and inspect product as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Process mis-picks and damaged bulk product returned from the warehouse.
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ year of experience working in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
- Working knowledge of food safety programs including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and allergen control programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Familiarity with FDA, USDA, or AIB (American Institute of Baking) regulatory requirements.
- Experience performing pre-operational sanitation inspections or swab testing.
- Experience documenting non-conformances, holds, or corrective actions in a production setting.
- Exposure to food defense programs or food quality management systems.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
