Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an electrical engineer / electrical designer to expand our team. Applicants shall have an electrical engineering background (professional licensure, engineering degree, or comparable work experience), strong, customer focused attitude, and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
1. Knowledge of electrical system design for multi-disciplinary projects: Power distribution systems, lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarm systems, emergency generator / emergency power systems, communication systems.

\n

2. Understanding of the National Electrical Code, California Energy Efficiency Standards, OSHPD Standards

\n

3. Understanding of Short Circuit analysis

\n

4. Project management skills

\n

5. Understanding of construction documents and project phases (i.e. schematic design, design development, construction documents).

\n

6. Knowledge of basic engineering calculations, including connected load, demand load calculations, equipment protection, voltage drop).

\n

7. Knowledge of electrical system construction.

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
1. BS in Electrical Engineering (Preferred emphasis in Power Systems). Will consider other engineering disciplines if the applicant has experience in the electrical industry.

\n

2. LEED accreditation / Knowledge of the LEED rating system.

\n

3. Proficiency in the following software: AutoCAD, Energy Pro, E-Tap or SKM, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel.

\n

4. Applicants should speak, read and write English fluently.
