Role Description The Livestream Talent role is a part-time, virtual role. In this role, the individual will host and participate in live political news segments, interviews, and/or discussions, presenting information in a clear, engaging, and neutral manner. Daily tasks include preparing talking points, reviewing news briefs and research materials, coordinating with producers and technical staff, and rehearsing content prior to going live. The Livestream Talent will interact with guests, moderate conversations, respond to live audience engagement when appropriate, and adapt to breaking news or changes in programming. The role also involves collaborating on show concepts, refining on-air style with feedback from the editorial team, and maintaining a professional presence that reflects the brand’s commitment to multi-perspective coverage.

Qualifications

• On-air presentation and communication skills, including clear speaking, confident camera presence, and the ability to explain complex political topics in an accessible way.

• Strong research and analytical abilities to quickly understand current events, verify information, and prepare accurate talking points and interview questions.

\n

• Collaboration skills for working closely with producers, editors, technical crew, and other on-air talent in a fast-paced news environment.

• Adaptability and composure under live broadcast conditions, including handling breaking news, time constraints, and unexpected changes in programming.

\n

• Demonstrated interest in politics, public policy, or news media, with a commitment to fair, non-partisan, and respectful discourse.

\n

• Previous experience in broadcasting, livestreaming, journalism, or related fields is preferred but not strictly required if on-air talent and communication skills can be demonstrated.

• To sum it up, ability to articulate an opinion on the camera against a challenger.
