Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Lead the development, design, system integration, and maintenance of embedded hardware platforms for Space Orbital Missions, Lunar Missions, Aerospace, and Defense projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams in product definition, materials selection, architecture, and design review activities.
- Recommend and implement hardware solutions and improved practices.
- Develop and maintain micro-controller operated digital and analog electronics using established engineering processes.
- Interface with customers to determine requirements and guide hardware packaging, board layout, and design tradeoff discussions.
- Lead PC graphical user interface development/testing, test plans, test results, and test stand equipment design.
- Coordinate releases, upgrades, documentation, quality assurance activities, and technical accuracy of product materials.
Essential Skills
- 5-10+ years of recent embedded hardware development experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- Advanced electrical/software engineering concepts.
- Advanced design, analysis, and testing of micro-controller operated digital and analog electronics.
- Advanced PSpice simulations.
- Proficiency in motor control systems.
- Experience with ORCAD schematics.
- Knowledge of FPGA and high-speed signal processing.
- Understanding of DSP, control systems, and digital filters.
- Release management and document control.
- Application lifecycle management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership and mentoring capability.
- Project planning and milestone ownership.
- Electrical design expertise.
- Experience with schematic capture, preferably ORCAD.
- Knowledge of microprocessors.
- Full life cycle development from requirements, design, to testing.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
