Location: Santa Ana, CA
Pay: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with overtime and weekends as needed
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the proper operation and maintenance of production equipment in a food manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, complete work orders, and work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements

2–3 years of mechanic/maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Basic English reading and writing skills

Electrical experience required

GMP/HACCP certification or ability to complete in-house certification

Sit-down and stand-up forklift certification

Boom/scissor lift certification

Ability to work 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed
Responsibilities

Assist shift production supervisors with mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions.

Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and help identify effective solutions.

Communicate potential and actual equipment issues to production supervisors to help prevent breakdowns and production disruptions.

Perform preventive maintenance on production and mechanical equipment according to established guidelines.

Communicate daily with the maintenance team regarding equipment issues during the shift.

Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner.

Request parts needed for preventive maintenance and work orders and follow up as needed.

Properly document work performed in maintenance logs, reports, and worksheets.

Maintain maintenance tools in good working condition and store them properly when not in use.

Follow all company rules and regulations related to food safety, quality, and legality.
