Shape the educational experience for students as a paraprofessional providing 1:1 or classroom support in a contract role located near Sacramento, CA. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about helping K-12 students reach their fullest potential while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding supporting students with diverse disabilities and learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with teachers, specialists, administrators, and families.
  • Proven ability to implement behavior support plans and utilize positive behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Experience providing instructional assistance and adapting lessons under certified staff direction.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of student needs and thrive in varying classroom environments.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards.
  • Well-developed organizational and observational abilities; skilled in recordkeeping for progress monitoring.
  • Capacity to follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral milestones.

What You’ll Do:

  • Offer direct support to students in a 1:1 or classroom setting, under educator guidance.
  • Reinforce lesson plans, assist with classroom activities, and provide individualized academic support.
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress as guided by teachers and IEPs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student development and engagement.
  • Adapt quickly to changing student or classroom needs throughout the school year.

This position begins August 13, 2026, and concludes May 27, 2027. Enjoy 30 weekly hours across five days per week, supporting the unique needs of K-12 learners, either individually or within classroom environments. Compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour, with weekly pay.
