• Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator

  Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
  Assignment Type: (Temporary Contract)
  Shift: Day Shift | 1st 8-hour shift

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator, you will play a key leadership role in supporting pharmacy operations and advancing clinical pharmacy services (CPS). You’ll collaborate closely with medical and nursing staff, guide clinical decision-making, and ensure optimal patient outcomes across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics.

You will:

• Lead and supervise nursing and support staff

• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care

• Drive patient safety and satisfaction initiatives

• Coordinate care plans with patients, families, and care teams

• Support staff development and performance management

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and strategic direction for Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS)

• Support clinical decision-making and operational excellence within the pharmacy team

• Develop, implement, and manage patient care programs and policies

• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and outcomes

• Train and mentor clinical pharmacy staff

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered medication recommendations

• Participate in direct patient care as needed

• Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy

• Active Pharmacist license

• All required state certifications and licensures

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist

• 2+ years of pharmacy leadership experience
