Position Overview
\n
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of multiple large-scale,
\n
custom mechanical and automated parking projects from concept through
\n
commissioning. This role ensures project milestones are achieved on time, within budget,
\n
and in accordance with Parkworks’ quality standards and client expectations.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong
\n
communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple
\n
stakeholders. This position requires coordination of design decisions, documentation,
\n
permits, schedules, and budgets, while maintaining alignment between engineering
\n
teams, subcontractors, and clients.
\n
\n
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with developers, architects, engineers, and
\n
parking system manufacturers to ensure the final product meets all technical, operational,
\n
and client requirements. This role also involves managing municipal permitting and
\n
approvals, patent applications, shipping logistics, and overall project documentation.
\n
Occasional site visits will be required to monitor progress and resolve field challenges.
\n
\n
Duties & Responsibilities:
\n
Evaluate global mechanical and automated parking system technologies, products, and
\n
applications to identify the most effective solutions for each project
\n
Participate in all client and project meetings, maintaining detailed notes and ensuring
\n
clear follow-up on action items
\n
Develop customized project solutions by analyzing customer requirements, technical
\n
constraints, and operational goals
\n
Review and interpret construction documents to identify design conflicts, coordination
\n
issues, and opportunities for improvement
\n
Track and manage all design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring
\n
timely resolution and accurate documentation
\n
Collaborate with internal engineers to assess site conditions, material limitations, and
\n
installation requirements
\n
Communicate regularly with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure
\n
clarity of scope, schedule alignment, and execution quality
\n
Monitor and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and progress reports to ensure
\n
deadlines and performance goals are met
\n
Coordinate and assist with municipal permitting, compliance documentation, and
\n
regulatory approvals
\n
Oversee and ensure accuracy of all project-related bookkeeping, invoices, and financial
\n
tracking
\n
Support continuous process improvement and documentation updates based on lessons
\n
learned and project feedback
\n
Travel as required throughout the Western U.S. to attend site meetings, inspections, and
\n
commissioning activities
\n
Perform other duties as assigned to support project delivery and company objectives
\n
\n
Qualifications
\n
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related
\n
field
\n
Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external partners, including
\n
clients, subcontractors, and consultants
\n
Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities
\n
Exceptional attention to technical detail and documentation accuracy
\n
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and familiarity with design
\n
or diagram software programs
\n
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality and
\n
deadlines
\n
Proven problem-solving and coordination skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments
\n
Desire to learn and master the technical details of semi and fully automated parking
\n
systems
\n
Experience in the architectural, construction, or mechanical systems industries preferred
\n
\n
Desired: Bilingual in English and Spanish
\n
\n
