We are seeking Special Education Teachers for full-time Extensive Support Needs (ESN) positions in Richmond, CA for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. With four openings available, these positions are ideal for educators experienced in supporting upper elementary students with significant support needs.
Position Details

- Schedule: Full-Time, 35–37.5 hours per week
- Grade Level: 4th–6th grade
- Setting: Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) classroom

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students in grades 4–6 with extensive support needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, including goal writing, progress monitoring, and documentation.
- Design and adapt instruction in communication, functional, academic, social, and adaptive skills.
- Differentiate instruction across grade levels and skill levels within the classroom.
- Implement behavior support plans and positive behavioral strategies.
- Direct and collaborate with paraprofessionals and classroom support staff.
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, related-service providers, and school teams.
Requirements
- Active California Education Specialist credential authorizing Extensive Support Needs (ESN) or Moderate/Severe. Required.
- Previous experience working with students with extensive support needs, preferably at the upper elementary level.
- Experience working with paraprofessionals and classroom support staff preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 35–37.5 hours per week, through the end of the 2026–27 school year.
Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
