Job Description

Job DescriptionQuality Assurance Analyst

QA & Payments Operations Analyst

Position Overview
We've created the seamless link between enterprise and consumers, maximizing value for the consumer and getting the right people in front businesses. This is a rare seat where business QA and payment processing operations live in one role - giving you end-to-end ownership over whether products work and whether the money moves correctly. If you instinctively look for what everyone else missed, this role was built for you

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the business-focused QA layer between product, engineering, and operations - reviewing tickets before development and validating deliverables against original business requirements, not just technical specs
- Test complete user journeys and edge cases to surface business logic issues, workflow gaps, and unintended downstream impacts that standard QA misses
- Verify bug fixes are fully resolved end-to-end, not just at the point of the reported symptom
- Manage multiple merchant accounts and MIDs across payment processors and acquiring relationships, monitoring for processing issues and driving resolution
- Oversee chargeback operations: monitoring, responding, tracking, and managing prevention platforms including Verifi, Ethoca, RDR, and Order Insight
- Communicate directly with processors, payment partners, and third-party vendors on operational issues and technical integrations
- Own QA and payments processes from start to finish - improving procedures, closing gaps, and making sure nothing is marked done until it works correctly

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in business QA, technical operations, or product operations in a cross-functional environment
- Hands-on experience with credit card processing infrastructure: merchant accounts, acquiring banks, payment processors, gateways, and multiple MIDs
- Experience managing or responding to chargebacks and working with dispute-management platforms
- Familiarity with bug tracking and ticketing workflows (e.g., Jira or equivalent) and close collaboration with software engineering teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of following issues through to full resolution

Nice to have

- Experience with Verifi, Ethoca, RDR, Order Insight, or similar chargeback mitigation platforms
- Familiarity with payment approval rates, decline codes, chargeback ratios, fraud trends, and card network monitoring programs such as VAMP
- Understanding of Mastercard & other credit card network rules and dispute lifecycle
- Prior experience owning vendor or processor relationships independently

  • 1 Day in office (Tuesday)- 4 days work from home!
  • Possibility for equity opportunities
  • $90-$125k base pay + bonus potential
