Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee operations at a community health center pharmacy. This contract position requires a dedicated professional to ensure smooth pharmacy functions while collaborating closely with healthcare providers and supervising pharmacy technicians.
Location: Redding, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Duration: 4-6 weeks or until a permanent placement is found
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day pharmacy operations as the Interim PIC
- Supervising and supporting pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
- Collaborating extensively with health center providers to facilitate patient care
- Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Utilizing the New Leaf system to process prescriptions and maintain records (training provided)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Recent retail pharmacy experience is essential
- Prior experience serving as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise pharmacy staff effectively
- Familiarity or willingness to learn New Leaf pharmacy software system
- Commitment to patient-focused care within a community health setting
