Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our premises. This role involves actively monitoring the environment, controlling access points, and responding swiftly to incidents to ensure a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a frontline protector while utilizing advanced security techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patrols of designated areas using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify potential threats.
Manage access control systems to verify identities, monitor entry and exit points, and ensure only authorized personnel gain entry.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activities by following established emergency response procedures.
Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy occurrences with clarity and accuracy.
Operate specialized equipment such as firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, or law enforcement roles.
Strong knowledge of physical security measures including patrolling routines and access control systems.
Ability to perform first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures confidently.
Skilled in conflict de-escalation and conflict management to handle tense situations effectively.
Familiarity with security regulations, compliance standards, and incident report writing protocols.
Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors while maintaining a secure environment.
Physical fitness for, manual handling tasks, and extended periods of patrolling or standing.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 49.0 per week
