Seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist to support students in a middle school environment near Lake Hughes, CA. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 10, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be onsite, with flexibility for temporary virtual work (30-60 days) if necessary.
Qualified applicants must hold both active California licensure and ASHA certification. Please be prepared to provide a screenshot of your current licenses.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license (CA SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience providing speech therapy within a middle/school setting
- Comfortable working full-time (37.5 hours/week) on a contract basis
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, design treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy services to students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Communicate goals, progress, and recommendations to parents, teachers, and administrators
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students
