Role Description This part-time, on-site High School Mathematics Teacher role is based in Rowland Heights, CA. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons in core high school math subjects, with a focus on algebra and related topics, following the institute’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and organizing lessons, presenting material in a clear and accessible way, providing guided practice, and offering individualized support to students as needed. The role also involves monitoring student progress, giving constructive feedback, and communicating regularly with learners and families about academic performance and goals. The teacher will maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, and confidence in mathematics.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter proficiency in Mathematics and Algebra, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accurately.
- Demonstrated skill in Lesson Planning, including creating structured, goal-oriented lessons and supplemental practice materials.
- Experience teaching or tutoring Middle School or High School students, with an understanding of age-appropriate instructional strategies.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience); teaching credentials or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality in a part-time, on-site teaching schedule.
- Previous experience in after-school programs, test preparation, or academic enrichment centers is beneficial.
- Pay rate starts at $25 but is based on experience
