Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Solder Technician with advanced soldering skills and hands-on wire and cable harness assembly experience. The ideal candidate can independently read technical drawings, assemble complex harnesses, and maintain high-quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced hand soldering and de-soldering of wires, connectors, and terminals.
- Assemble wire and cable harnesses, including wire preparation, stripping, tinning, crimping, routing, and termination.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Support First Article Assembly (FAI), inspections, troubleshooting, and rework.
- Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic electrical testing tools.
- Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on wire and cable harness assembly experience.
- Advanced soldering skills and experience with through-hole soldering.
- Ability to independently read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with wire preparation, crimping, harness assembly, inspection, and rework.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to quality.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
Interview Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a soldering assessment and a technical drawing assessment.
