Position Overview
InSync Consulting Services is seeking a bilingual Customer Service Representative fluent in English and Spanish to support California Health Care Options (CA HCO). This position focuses on community outreach, healthcare education, enrollment assistance, and customer service for individuals exploring their healthcare coverage options.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys helping diverse communities, conducting presentations, and guiding individuals through healthcare enrollment processes. This role requires local community knowledge, dependable attendance, and the ability to travel throughout Tuolumne County and surrounding counties.
Residency Requirement: Candidates must reside in the Sonora, California area to support local outreach efforts and provide consistent coverage at assigned offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community outreach and provide individual and group presentations on healthcare enrollment options.
- Educate beneficiaries about available managed care plans and how to access healthcare benefits.
- Assist with health plan enrollment, disenrollment, medical exemptions, and waiver inquiries.
- Provide updates on enrollment status, medical exemptions, and waiver requests.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with county staff, community organizations, and community members.
- Train county staff and new enrollment representatives on program procedures and guidelines.
- Enter accurate information and maintain detailed records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Process and transmit enrollment and disenrollment information according to established procedures.
- Participate in community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and performance expectations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to management to improve operations and service quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Must reside in the Sonora, CA area within Tuolumne County.
- Valid California driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.
- Ability to travel throughout Tuolumne County and surrounding counties.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Familiarity with the local community and the populations being served.
