Job Description
\n
Hospitality Technology Sales Executive
\n
\n
Southern California Point-of-Sale Systems | San Diego, CA |
\n
Full-Time
\n
\n
Most sales jobs pay you once for a deal. This one pays you every month — for every account
\n
you've ever signed, for as long as they're active.
\n
ABOUT SOCAL POS
\n
Southern California Point-of-Sale Systems is a San Diego-based technology company that helps
\n
restaurants, bars, and hospitality businesses run better — with modern POS, payment processing,
\n
online ordering, and the integrations that tie it all together. We're a small, focused team. We hire
\n
carefully and take care of the people who perform.
\n
We're building our sales team now. If you're the kind of person who can walk into a restaurant, earn
\n
the owner's trust, and close — this was written for you.
\n
WHAT YOU'LL DO
\n
This is a field sales role with structure. You'll work from our San Diego office during regular business
\n
hours and spend planned time in the field — visiting restaurants, bars, and quick-service locations
\n
across the area.
\n
You'll own your pipeline. No inside team feeding you leads. You prospect, build the relationship, and
\n
close. Then you move on — and the account keeps paying you.
\n
WHAT YOU'LL SELL
\n
Genius Restaurant & Shift4 Dine — full-service POS + payment processing for restaurants
\n
Genius Retail — POS + payments for retail businesses
\n
Online ordering, website, and integrations
\n
Hardware: handheld, tableside, mobile, workstations, kitchen display systems, kiosks
\n
You're not just selling a terminal. You're replacing a business's entire technology stack — and when
\n
you do it right, they don't leave.
\n
WHAT YOU'LL EARN
\n
Compensation is built in layers. Base salary is your floor. Commissions reward installs. Bonuses
\n
reward volume and quality. And residual income rewards the book you build — compounding every
\n
month you stay.
\n
$45,000 / year
\n
$500 / month car allowance
\n
\n
Company-sponsored
\n
\n
Tiered — the more you close, the more each deal pays
\n
Volume, quality, and retention bonuses
\n
Paid on every active account in your book
\n
None
\n
Realistic Earnings — What Our Reps Make
\n
YEAR 1
\n
$78K – $128K
\n
While building your book
\n
YEAR 2+
\n
$110K – $197K
\n
Residuals compounding
\n
TOP PERFORMERS
\n
$200K+
\n
Uncapped — no ceiling
\n
The residual difference: A rep who builds a book of 60 active accounts earns meaningful
\n
passive income every single month — before signing a single new deal. The longer you stay,
\n
the more your floor goes up.
\n
HOW THE FIRST 4 MONTHS WORK
\n
We tell every candidate this upfront — because it sets the right expectations and filters out the
\n
wrong people.
\n
\n
MONTH 1
\n
Ramp
\n
No quota. Learn the
\n
product, the market,
\n
and the process. Build
\n
your pipeline.
\n
\n
MONTH 2
\n
First Close
\n
Minimum 1 install. You
\n
should be in the market
\n
and closing.
\n
\n
MONTH 3
\n
Building
\n
Momentum
\n
2–3 installs. Pipeline is
\n
flowing. Trajectory is
\n
clear.
\n
\n
MONTH 4
\n
Full Quota
\n
At target. This is where
\n
you perform or we part
\n
ways.
\n
We track weekly. You'll know exactly where you stand from Month 1. Reps who can sell hit the
\n
ground running — this structure rewards that.
\n
\n
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
\n
\n
B2B outside sales experience with a verifiable track record — results, not just activity
\n
Comfortable with cold prospecting: walk-ins, calls, referrals — no leads handed to you
\n
Organized and self-directed — you manage your own pipeline and field schedule
\n
Reliable, reachable, and accountable during business hours
\n
Based in San Diego or the greater San Diego area
\n
Preferred Backgrounds
\n
These aren't requirements — they're the profiles we've seen succeed in this role:
\n
Merchant services or payment processing — Heartland, Toast, Square, First Data, Clover, or
\n
similar
\n
Telecommunications B2B sales — AT&T Business, Comcast Business, Spectrum Business
\n
Copier or office equipment sales — Canon, Ricoh, Xerox field reps
\n
Liquor, beverage, or food distributor rep — you know the accounts and the owners already
\n
Restaurant or hospitality background — former FOH manager, bar manager, or operator who
\n
understands the pain of a bad POS from the inside
\n
Languages
\n
Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. We serve a diverse restaurant community across San
\n
Diego and fluency in any of the following is a significant advantage:
\n
Spanish
\n
Korean
\n
Vietnamese
\n
\n
WHY JOIN SOCAL POS
\n
\n
You own your book. Every account you sign is your account — and it pays you every month.
\n
Transparent structure. No mystery comp plans. You'll know exactly what you can earn and
\n
how.
\n
Small team, real autonomy. No layers of management. No bureaucracy. You'll know the
\n
people you work with.
\n
Products people don't switch off. When you install a good POS system, merchants stay. Your
\n
residuals are durable.
\n
Ground floor. We're building this sales team now. The people who come in early earn more and
\n
have more room to grow.
\n
TO APPLY
\n
\n
Include a brief note on your background and what you've sold. No cover letter required.
