Garage Door Service & Sales Technician
Bay Area, CA | Full-Time | In-Person
We’re hiring a motivated Garage Door Service & Sales Technician to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and recommend service and upgrade options to homeowners throughout the Bay Area.
This role combines hands-on mechanical work, customer service, and sales. We’re looking for someone who is technically minded, communicates well, and is motivated to deliver quality work and strong customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot garage door issues.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and approved installation work.
- Provide quotes and explain repair and upgrade options.
- Recommend solutions and convert service calls into approved work.
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and invoices.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized.
- Coordinate with the office team and travel to customer appointments throughout the Bay Area.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable discussing pricing and recommending services.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Comfortable with physical work, tools, ladders, and lifting.
- Basic smartphone and mobile app skills.
Garage door, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, automotive, construction, or other field service experience is preferred. Training will be provided on company procedures and sales processes.
Schedule
- Full-time, in-person field position.
- Flexible availability within a Sunday–Friday operating schedule.
- Daily travel throughout the Bay Area.
