Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in California
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices for the school setting
- Ability to assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Adaptable, organized, and committed to promoting student wellness and academic success
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress toward goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, outcomes, and progress according to school policies
- Offer recommendations and accommodations for classroom environments to optimize student participation
- Educate staff and caregivers regarding interventions, adaptive equipment, and student needs
