We have an opportunity for regular contractor work helping our coffee roasting business fulfill our customer orders, deliver to our cafe clients, and help with local coffee events. You would report to our Operations Manager and will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of coffee roasting, from cupping samples, working with importers, quality control of roasts, and recommending coffees to customers. The ideal candidate has an interest in coffee but expertise is not required, we're happy to train the right person who is ready to learn.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Blend and pack roasted coffee at our cooperative roastery
- Clean your work area according to roastery directions
- Deliver weekly orders to our cafe clients with additional compensation for miles driven
- Help at our office warehouse with online order fulfillment
- Take online orders to the post office
- Help with setup and customer service at occasional weekend coffee festivals
- Brew cold brew concentrate for restaurant clients
- Warehouse duties like taking out trash, recycling, and watering plants
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with a small team
- Driver's License, clean driving record, and access to a vehicle for deliveries
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs of coffee and unload larger 150 lbs green coffee bags
- Order fulfillment experience and demonstrated attention to detail
- Interest in specialty coffee with a willingness to learn more
- 18+ with High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
