Chiropractic Assistant – Part-Time (32 Hours/Week)
Atlas in Balance Chiropractic is looking for a friendly, dependable, energetic Chiropractic Assistant to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy healthcare environment, and is comfortable balancing both front-office responsibilities and hands-on patient flow.
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week
Pay: $20/hour
Additional: Occasional staff meetings and training may be required.
About the Position
Our Chiropractic Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience for our patients. This is a combination front-office and back-office position, so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and following up with prospective patients as they are helping move patients through the office and assisting with treatment modalities.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and create a friendly, professional, and welcoming environment
- Check patients in and out and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient texts and emails
- Make outbound calls and follow up with new leads, prospective patients, and existing patients
- Consistently follow up with leads via phone, text, and email to help convert inquiries into scheduled appointments
- Collect and accurately record patient payments
- Assist with patient documentation and notes within the electronic health record
- Maintain accurate and organized patient information
- Communicate office policies, scheduling information, and basic care-plan information to patients
- Escort and transition patients between treatment areas
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment between patients
- Assist with setting patients up for SoftWave Therapy and other in-office modalities as trained and directed by the doctor
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of patient-care areas
- Monitor office supplies and assist with inventory as needed
- Assist with community outreach, marketing initiatives, and occasional events
- Help educate patients on office procedures and what to expect during their visits
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Work closely with the doctor and other team members to keep the office running efficiently
- Participate in occasional staff meetings and training
- Assist with other administrative and patient-care duties as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with patients
- Comfortable making outbound phone calls and following up with prospective patients and leads
- Confident communicating by phone, text, and email and helping prospective patients take the next step toward scheduling
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, email, and text-based communication
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy office
- Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently work the Wednesday–Saturday schedule
- Comfortable learning and following established clinical and administrative protocols
Preferred:
- Previous chiropractic office experience
- Medical, dental, physical therapy, wellness, or other healthcare office experience
- Experience with patient scheduling, electronic health records, or medical-office administration
- Experience with patient-facing sales, lead follow-up, customer service, or marketing
- Experience converting incoming inquiries or leads into scheduled appointments is a plus
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is warm, outgoing, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. Our ideal candidate genuinely enjoys interacting with patients and isn't afraid to pick up the phone and start a conversation.
This is not a strictly clerical front-desk position. An important part of the role is communicating with prospective patients, following up with leads, and helping people move from their initial inquiry to scheduling their first appointment.
Because this position involves both administrative work and direct interaction with patients throughout the office, you should be comfortable being on your feet, moving between treatment areas, learning new technology, and jumping in wherever the team needs help.
If you're interested in healthcare, enjoy helping people, and want to be part of a growing chiropractic and wellness practice, we'd love to hear from you.
