Job Title: Palantir Foundry Data Engineer / Palantir Foundry Application Support
Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday & Wednesday)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $70/hr on W2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Palantir Foundry Application Support Engineer / Data Platform Engineer to support Grid Resiliency initiatives and PSPS application operations within a Palantir Foundry environment. This role will focus on application maintenance, pipeline engineering, ontology governance, infrastructure coordination, and operational support for enterprise-scale data platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering and data platform expertise, deep experience with Palantir Foundry architecture, and the ability to manage production-critical workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Palantir Foundry applications, pipelines, and dashboards.
- Build reusable code, ETL processes, and shared libraries using Python and TypeScript.
- Support ontology design, governance, and data modeling.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and third-party teams.
- Participate in on-call support and operational maintenance activities.
- Drive application enhancements, system optimization, and root cause analysis.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Palantir Foundry.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with ETL pipelines, data architecture, and full-stack development.
- Knowledge of ontology design, DAG execution, and distributed systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PySpark, Polars, Pipeline Builder, and Code Repositories.
- Utility or Grid Resiliency domain experience.
- Experience with data lineage, cloud integrations, and Foundry Workshop.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
