Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic Driver / Activities Assistant to join our team at our Serra Highlands Senior Living community!

This is a combination position responsible for providing safe transportation for our residents while also assisting with planning and leading engaging activities and social programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, has a positive attitude, and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for our residents.

Driver Duties:

Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, community outings, and scheduled activities.
Assist residents when entering and exiting the vehicle, providing support as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained community vehicle.
Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
Coordinate transportation schedules and communicate any delays or changes.
Provide courteous, patient, and professional service to residents.

Activities Assistant Duties:

Assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
Encourage resident participation in daily activities, events, and group programs.
Help set up and clean up activity areas.
Assist with special events, celebrations, outings, and entertainment programs.
Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social engagement.
Ensure activities are conducted in a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with seniors, in activities, hospitality, or transportation preferred.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Ability to safely transport and assist residents.
Friendly, outgoing, and patient personality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, organized, and flexible.
Must be able to assist with physical tasks, including setting up tables, chairs, and activity equipment.
