A shift supervisor sends the schedule changes out by text at eleven at night, and five years later every one of those messages is an exhibit with a number on it.

Wage and hour is the only part of law where somebody's phone habits in 2021 decide what a company pays in 2026. You'd be the one reading all of it: the punch records, the handbook nobody updated, the eight hundred texts, and the one line in the middle of them where a manager said something they shouldn't have.

It's a defense firm with a team in San Diego, and this is an associate seat where you run your own caseload instead of feeding somebody else's. Two years in is the entry point. Hybrid, and they're easy about which days you're in. The hours target is sensible and they treat it as an expectation rather than a hurdle, with a bonus on top when you get there.

If you've got a certification fight you'd like to tell somebody about who'll actually understand it, I'm on 646 540 9647, or there's fifteen minutes here https://calendly.com/arranjaiswal/15min. I work Pacific hours from England, so early mornings are easy and weekends are fine.
