Balanced Diversity is partnering with a well-established equipment solutions company to fill a critical Site Manager role in West Sacramento, CA.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced operations leader with direct or closely related experience managing industrial equipment repair, heavy equipment service, customer-billed repair operations, rental equipment service, or similar technical service environments.
Our client is seeking a leader who can successfully manage a fast-paced site operation, lead a sizeable technician team, support customer relationships, drive performance, and help position the location for long-term success.
The Site Manager will oversee day-to-day site operations, including service operations, customer communication, technician productivity, workflow, process management, billing efficiency, revenue and profit performance, and overall site accountability.
This role requires someone who understands the difference between internal maintenance and a customer-billed repair environment, where every labor hour matters. Success in this position depends on the ability to manage technician time, customer expectations, repair timelines, documentation, billing accuracy, and operational discipline.
The ideal candidate will bring the ability to balance people leadership with process, accountability, and business performance.
In this role, you will:
- Lead site operations with a focus on safety, customer service, productivity, profitability, and operational excellence
- Manage and support a team that may include technicians, service staff, rental coordinators, yard personnel, delivery personnel, and counter personnel
- Oversee technician productivity, time accountability, repair workflow, customer communication, and billing efficiency
- Manage revenue, profit, and P&L performance against business goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Support equipment repair operations, rental fleet performance, equipment transfers, ROI tracking, re-rents, revenue tracking, and quality control
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development
- Facilitate regular site meetings focused on safety, performance, customer service, process improvement, training, and operational goals
- Partner with senior leadership on business planning, performance reviews, fleet planning, and long-term operational strategy
- Make quick, sound, and ethically responsible decisions in a fast-moving operational environment
- Maintain a disciplined, professional, customer-focused, and accountable site culture
The strongest candidates will have:
- Direct or closely related experience managing industrial equipment repair, heavy equipment service, rental equipment repair, fleet service, dealership service, or customer-billed maintenance operations
- Experience leading a sizeable technician or technical service team
- Strong operational and customer-facing leadership skills
- Experience managing P&L performance, revenue goals, labor productivity, and operational metrics
- Strong computer systems, reporting, workflow, and process management capabilities
- Ability to manage technician productivity, service timelines, customer communication, billing efficiency, and time accountability
- A leadership style that balances relationship-building with accountability, structure, and procedural discipline
- Strong judgment and the ability to make sound, ethical decisions quickly
- Understanding of service and parts department operations
- Valid California driver’s license and clean DMV record
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred
