Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold an active and valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience working with moderate to severe caseloads preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Committed to positive behavioral interventions and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on goal achievement
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, specialists, and families
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
