• Pay range from $24 to $25 an hour
Environmental Dispatcher Assistant – Manifest Preparation Duties
- Prepare Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests and labels in accordance with EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations.
- Verify generator, transporter, and disposal facility information for accuracy.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, customers, and treatment/disposal facilities to ensure all shipping paperwork is complete.
- Schedule waste pickups and assign manifests to planned routes.
- Generate supporting shipping documents, including bills of lading, land disposal restriction (LDR) notifications, and other required paperwork.
- Review manifests for completeness before driver departure and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Assist with customer requests regarding manifests, waste profiles, and shipping documentation.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding service schedules, delays, and job status.
- Assist dispatch with routing, scheduling, and driver communication as needed.
- Follow company safety policies and environmental compliance procedures.
- Communicating with treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs).
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, and preparing reports
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service experience.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
