A fulfilling opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about supporting middle school students’ communication and educational growth. This full-time, contract position offers stability with an assignment running from now through June 2027. Located in the vibrant area near Tehachapi, CA, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to enhance students’ abilities and help them thrive in an engaging school community.
The ideal candidate brings expertise and compassion to their practice, building relationships with students in grades 6–8. Onsite services are preferred to maximize interaction, but if needed, temporary virtual arrangements (30-60 days) can be made. This assignment will have you working 37.5 hours per week within an encouraging, multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience or training in delivering school-based services to middle school-aged children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Flexibility and organizational skills to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing needs
- Ability to provide documentation or a screenshot verifying active licensure
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to middle school students according to IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments, interpret findings, and draft individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as the speech-language expert
- Provide engaging, evidence-based intervention tailored to diverse learning needs
