Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services within a large health system that encompasses numerous ambulatory care/outpatient clinics and several hospitals. The position is contract-based with variable scheduling, typically consisting of four 10-hour afternoon shifts per week.
Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive clinical pharmacy care, supporting operational needs across multiple sites, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is vital to maintaining pharmacy department efficiency while offering you a pathway to a permanent position within the county health system.
Preferred qualifications include:
- PGY1 residency completion or approximately 2 years of current inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in inpatient pharmacy practice
- Ability to pass a competency examination on the first attempt
- Successful completion of a Livescan background check
- Commitment to professional growth and a long-term career in public health pharmacy
Location: Whittier, CA
