Job Description

We are seeking Part-time and Full-Time morning shift Armed Security Guard for a Static Post site in the Union Square area. Become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

MUST BE AREMED AND HAVE BATON, PEPPER SPRAY, & HANDCUFFING CERTIFICATIONS AND A VALID GUARD CARD

Responsibilities:

Experienced armed security officer with a current BSIS Guard Card.
Current BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit and range qualification.
Current baton and chemical agent permits.
POST certification and law enforcement background preferred, but not required.
Verified prior experience working an armed, public-facing security assignment.
Ability to stand for a full shift and maintain an active presence at the entrance.
Strong communication and de-escalation skills, including the ability to manage situations in front of customers and the public.
All required certifications and permits for weapons carried—including firearm, baton, and chemical agent—must remain current and be carried on the officer’s person for the full shift, as required by Legion General Order 5.03.
Maintains a clean, professional appearance and properly wears all required uniform and equipment throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
Current BSIS Guard Card and required armed security permits.
Current Baton and Chemical Agent certifications.
Familiarity with security equipment and proper use.
Ability to stand for a full shift and handle the physical demands of the position.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to communicate professionally and de-escalate situations.
Ability to document site-related incidents by completing an incident report.
