Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory records. It plays a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring materials, parts, and products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Support all activities related to inbound shipments, including unloading deliveries from trailers to the dock using a hand truck and/or forklift, handling heavy equipment unloads, segregating inbound material into direct and indirect categories, and staging of material within the facility to support all external teams.
  • Support the Production Control team with material moves in support of quality inspection, put-away actions, and material issues to support all production teams.
  • Provide assistance to employees when preparing outbound parcel and freight shipments processed through the appropriate Shipment Request form.
  • Assist the Shipping & Receiving and Production Control teams with clearing out dunnage and removing empty boxes and crates from the inbound dock.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient forklift operation
  • Experience with ERP or WMS systems
  • Experience in automotive or EV industries
  • Strong inventory control and material handling skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting warehouse and production functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or other related industries.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root cause issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and other systems for creating work instructions.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Work Environment

Work the 2nd shift from 4pm to 12:30am, Monday through Friday, in a large, very clean manufacturing environment. The facility specializes in manufacturing medium-duty electric vehicles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden Grove, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
