Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity guiding elementary students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Resource Specialist Program (RSP) support. This role is based near Whittier, CA, with a fulfilling schedule of 30 hours per week across four days. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be essential in empowering students to achieve their personal best. The elementary caseload focuses on RSP, ensuring tailored support strategies for diverse learning needs in a collaborative, engaging environment.
What you'll bring:
- Valid California CTC licensure in Special Education—Mild to Moderate
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students with a variety of learning needs
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong skills in communication, team collaboration, and student advocacy
- Passion for creating inclusive and supportive classroom communities
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct instructional and consultative services for students in the RSP program
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor progress, administer assessments, and update IEPs as needed
