Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Controls Programmer on the Central Coast, based near Santa Maria, to program and support commercial building automation systems.

Impact

• Deliver BAS programming and integration tailored to each building.
• Make startup and commissioning smooth so projects finish on time.
• Cut client service costs with well-tested installations.

Responsibilities

• Program building automation systems, primarily Niagara N4.
• Perform point-to-point checkout and functional testing.
• Create and modify graphics, sequences, and user interfaces.
• Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting on new and retrofit systems.
• Integrate HVAC, lighting, and security into unified platforms.
• Work with field techs and engineers on integration issues.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, and version control.

Must-Haves

• Five or more years in commercial building automation controls.
• Niagara 4 certification.
• Proficiency in BAS programming, graphics, and integration.
• Startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting experience.
• Local to the Santa Maria area with a stable work history.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience across multiple BAS platforms such as Tridium, Distech, or Siemens.
• HVAC or mechanical systems background.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Based on the Central Coast near Santa Maria.
