The Campus and Events Coordinator for Bethel Christian School supports the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of campus facilities. This role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports student learning and reflects the values of a Christian community. This position works collaboratively with staff, leadership, and vendors to ensure all buildings, grounds, and shared spaces are well-maintained and event-ready.
Hours: This is a full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours per week, during weeks of school operation. Occasional evenings or weekend hours required for facilitation of special school events.

Job Requirements
- Campus Facilities Coordination
- Oversee day-to-day facility needs and communicate with Bethel Facilities Department
- Coordinate and schedule repairs with outside vendors and contractors
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas
- Support setup and teardown for school events, chapel, athletics, and special programs
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, fire codes, and school policies
- Respond promptly to facility-related requests from teachers, staff, and administration
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders as needed
- Assist in maintaining outdoor spaces, including playgrounds, parking areas, and athletic fields
- Support emergency preparedness and response (e.g., drills, urgent repairs)
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, work orders, and vendor services
- Submit maintenance and repair work orders to the facilities department as needs arise.
- Follow up on submitted work orders by coordinating with facilities to obtain estimates, projected timelines, and completion dates.
- Track and communicate the status of facility requests to appropriate staff and leadership to ensure timely resolution.
- Events Coordination
- Assist with preparation, setup, supervision, and cleanup for school events and activities.
- Help coordinate logistics for assemblies, performances, fundraisers, open houses, field days, and special programs.
- Provide support during evening or occasional weekend events as needed.
- Serve families, guests, and staff with a positive and helpful attitude during school functions
- Drop-Off/Pick-Up and Parking Coordination
- Oversee morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures.
- Help direct traffic flow to maintain student safety and efficiency.
- Greet students and families in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Assist younger students entering and exiting vehicles safely.
- Ensure authorized dismissal procedures are followed carefully.
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding transportation or dismissal concerns.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a Christ-centered attitude in all interactions.
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and model strong ethical standards.
- Supervise support staff during recess, lunch, and outdoor activities.
- Promote safe, respectful, and Christ-like behavior among students.
- Encourage positive interactions and healthy conflict resolution.
- Monitor playground areas and equipment for safety concerns.
- Enforce school rules and behavioral expectations consistently and graciously.
- Communicate student concerns or incidents to administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year minimum of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Clear communication skills and a service-oriented attitude
- Basic computer skills for tracking work orders and communication
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings or weekend events
- Ability to fulfill the physical and work requirements of the job which include the ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing. (See attached)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as educational employment history check and reference check.
- This position does not qualify for sponsorship of work authorization or an employment visa, so candidates must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related field
- Experience in a Christian school or faith-based organization
- Experience coordinating vendors and managing multiple projects
- Familiarity with safety regulations and school compliance standards
