Job: Composite Estimator
Company: Aerospace manufacturing — plastics & metal parts
Location: Long Beach, CA
Type: Temp-to-Hire (40 hrs/week)
Pay: $23.00–$27.00/hr (DOE)
Summary
Review customer RFQs/quotes and partner with Manufacturing, Planning, and Engineering to produce accurate estimates for composite and non-metallic work.
Key Responsibilities
- Review RFQ requirements; validate ERP production capabilities
- Determine make/buy decisions; confirm producibility
- Estimate production costs per engineering specs
- Prepare bid estimates in standard format and meet RFQ due dates
Requirements
- Must meet ITAR requirement
- 2+ years estimating experience
- Ability to interpret customer specs and drawings
- Strong multitasking/prioritization; high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
